The Russell Family Vineyards are located in Paso Robles, 15 miles on the west side of highway 101, benefiting from the tempering effects of the Pacific ocean. This area of limited water, shallow, rugged, rocky, calcareous soil produces some of the finest wines in California. Extensively low yields due to dryer conditions for the 2015 harvest in super acidity and a wine with great agibility. The small and delicate berries were packed with complex flavors. A high ratio of skin over juice contact resulted in a wine that is deep in color with great structure.
Drink now with decanting or age 4 to 8 years.
