Nebbiolo, with origins from Piemonte, is used in Italy for Barolo, Barbaresco, Gattinara and is considered a world class red wine grape. The high tannins require aging where the wine will shift in color and a host of complex flavors develop. Aromatics of dried red rose petals and wet stone. Ample acidity and a bit bitter, flavors of tar and roses with cherry, baked brown pears , raspberry and black licorice. Harmonizes best with the richest, strongest flavored meats and stews, pork cheek ragu spaghetti as well as dry aged cheeses. This is a wine that only gets better with age. Very limited release, for our wine club members only.
