Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: March 2026
Last Updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Portalupi Wine Company website (portalupiwine.com), purchasing products, booking tasting experiences, enrolling in the wine club, or otherwise engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.
Portalupi Wine Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase, receive, or consume alcoholic beverages. By placing an order on our website, enrolling in our wine club, or booking a tasting, you confirm that you are 21 years of age or older and that the intended recipient of any wine shipment is also 21 years of age or older.
Portalupi Wine Company reserves the right to refuse service to any person who cannot verify their age. A valid government-issued photo ID may be required upon delivery of wine shipments. Delivery carriers are authorized to request proof of age and will not leave packages with an unverified recipient.
3. Online Shop & Orders
3.1 Product Information
We make every effort to accurately describe our wines, merchandise, and gift items on our website, including vintage, varietal, appellation, tasting notes, and pricing. However, we reserve the right to correct any errors or inaccuracies and to update information at any time without prior notice. Product availability is subject to change without notice.
3.2 Pricing
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to applicable state and local sales taxes. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. In the event of a pricing error, we will contact you prior to processing your order and provide the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order for a full refund.
3.3 Order Acceptance
Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our sole discretion. You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been accepted and processed. Portalupi Wine Company is not responsible for orders that are declined due to payment issues, product unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity.
3.4 Payment
We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods as indicated at checkout. By submitting payment, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided. All transactions are processed through our secure, PCI-compliant payment processor. Portalupi Wine Company does not store full payment card details on our servers.
4. Shipping & Delivery
4.1 Shipping Availability
Portalupi Wine Company ships wine directly to consumers in states where direct-to-consumer wine shipping is permitted by law. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to verify that wine shipments are legal in their state and locality. We cannot ship to states where direct wine shipment is prohibited. A current list of states we ship to is available on our website.
4.2 Adult Signature Required
All wine shipments require an adult signature (21+) upon delivery. Please ensure that an eligible adult will be available to receive your shipment. If delivery is unsuccessful after multiple attempts, the carrier may return the package to us. Re-shipment fees may apply.
4.3 Shipping Costs & Times
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, order size, and selected shipping method. Wine club members receive shipments at the discounted penny shipping rate as described in their membership tier. Estimated delivery times are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Portalupi Wine Company is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
4.4 Risk of Loss
Title and risk of loss for all products pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 5 business days of delivery with photos of the damaged packaging and product. We will work with you to arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion.
4.5 Heat & Weather Policy
Wine is sensitive to extreme temperatures. During summer months or periods of high heat, we strongly recommend selecting expedited shipping and/or adding ice packs at checkout. Portalupi Wine Company is not responsible for damage to wine caused by heat or weather conditions during transit when standard shipping is selected in warm weather.
5. Returns & Refunds
Due to the perishable nature of wine and regulations governing the return of alcoholic beverages, we are generally unable to accept returns. However, if you receive a wine that is corked, flawed, or damaged in transit, please contact us within 5 business days of receipt. We will evaluate the claim and, at our discretion, offer a replacement bottle, store credit, or refund.
Merchandise and gift items (non-wine products) may be returned in original, unused condition within 14 days of receipt for a refund or exchange, excluding original shipping charges. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.
