Our 2015 Pinot Noir, Russell Family Vineyard. A Gold Medal winner, The Russell Family Vineyards are located in Paso Robles, 15 miles on the west side of highway 101, benefiting from the tempering effects of the Pacific Ocean. This area of limited water, shallow, rugged, rocky, calcareous soil produces some of the finest wines in California. Extensively low yields due to dryer conditions for the 2015 harvest resulted in super acidity and a wine with great aging. The small and delicate berries were packed with complex flavors. A high ratio of skin over juice contact resulted in a wine that is deep in color with great structure.
Complimented with our New Release, 2019 Pinot Noir, Dolinsek Vineyard.
Nestled in the heart of the Russian River Valley, this tiny Dijon clone vineyard benefits from the evening Pacific Ocean breezes and “Gold Ridge” soil. A very small but precious vineyard providing true bright explosive cherry like fruit with ample acidity and viscosity. A solid Burgundian style with a earthy mineral backbone complimented by subtle oak spice tones with a nice long finish.
